Joanna Insco is a senior at Marymount Manhattan College studying digital journalism and environmental studies. She moved to New York City after her freshman year in undergrad to seriously pursue journalism. Since then, she has been published in student-run newspapers and magazines, local papers in both Brooklyn, NY, and Sioux Center Iowa, and in the global publication WORLD News Group. Joanna intends to grow her portfolio over her last year of undergrad and engage in opportunities to learn and work as a journalist.
Joanna has pitched, reported, and written stories ranging from breaking news to feature-length pieces. Here are all of her current published works.
As a senior in college many of Joanna's most involved works are kept within the classroom; here they become a part of her larger portfolio.
In addition to her journalistic pursuits, Joanna's endeavors have led to creative works of fiction and poetry.
As a journalist in the digital age, Joanna captures images to assist in her storytelling. Sometimes for specific pieces, and other times as stand-alone work. Here is some of her published photography.
